Meet the Back-to-Back Champions: SAS Robotics at Maker Faire

It’s no secret Shanghai American School’s robotics teams are among the best in China. After winning the VEX Robotics National Championship for the second consecutive year, SAS earned a return trip to the VEX World Championship, where our student engineers once again made their mark on the global stage. There, SAS received the prestigious Amaze Award, an honor awarded to just 10 schools worldwide.

Those results reflect what sits at the heart of SAS Robotics: creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and a willingness to keep testing, refining, and building until an idea works.

This year at Shanghai Maker Faire, visitors will have the chance to experience some of that spirit firsthand. Stop by the SAS booth to meet our student engineers, learn how to drive a VEX robot, build your own flying eagle to take home, and watch SAS’s very own robot dog show off its tricks.

It is a chance to see what happens when hands-on learning, ambitious ideas, and talented students come together. Whether you are curious about robotics, engineering, coding, or simply want to make something yourself, there will be plenty to discover at the SAS booth.
