Alumni Legends｜The MVP: Jessica Lu

The concept of courage anchors the Shanghai American School mission and holds a special place in every Eagles’ heart. For alumna Jessica Lu ‘14, finding the courage to live her dreams has defined her journey after high school.  

Jessica discovered her love of sports and, specifically, rugby in high school at SAS. Her love and dedication to rugby continued through her time at Princeton and Harvard Law school. Through strenuous course loads and even during her gap year preparing for the LSAT, she never gave up on rugby and her dream of playing for the U.S. National Team. When her dream finally came to fruition, she had just started her law career at a prestigious law firm in Washington D.C., and while the decision for her to leave wasn’t easy, she also knew without a doubt that she had to pursue her rugby dream.
