Meredith Camplin

Meredith is Deputy Principal Officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai. She most recently served as Deputy Minister Counselor for Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.  In addition to four assignments in Mission China, Meredith has served two tours in Washington, as well as in Indonesia and Iraq.  Before joining the State Department in 2010, Meredith worked with the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations to promote constructive people-to-people engagement.  She received her MA from Johns Hopkins University—SAIS in 2010, along with a Certificate in China Studies from the Hopkins-Nanjing Center.
