
Emily Chan
Emily has served SAS as Board Chair since 2021 and as a Trustee for seven years. Prior to her service at SAS, she was a Trustee at the International School of Beijing. Beyond education governance, Emily is a published author (seven languages, John Wiley and Sons) and has held roles as Head of Corporate Planning for a listed company and Manager at BCG. She currently serves as an advisor to the Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education (SPICE), a founding board member of the Dalton Foundation Hong Kong, and a founder of Women in Governance.
Emily holds a B.S. in engineering from Stanford University, where she was named the Ford Scholar and Terman Scholar, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
