Earlier this semester, a veritable caravan of brainpower, ambition, and robots rolled out from Shanghai American School’s Pudong and Puxi campuses, setting their navigational systems for Tianjin. Their mission? To not just participate in the VEX Tianjin International School Robotics Challenge but to potentially snag a golden ticket to the VEX Robotics World Competition in Dallas, Texas. Because, let's face it, everything’s bigger in Texas, including the dreams of our intrepid students.

It’s all hands on deck at Shanghai American School’s Puxi and Pudong high schools to open the floodgates to success for our students. There are plenty of pathways to choose from – the Advanced Placement (AP) Capstone Diploma Program, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) or even a combination of both. Whichever direction they choose to pursue, our teachers and college counselors guide them every step of the way.
Shanghai American School embodies a unique educational experience. Our high school prides itself on offering a wide variety of choices for students, whether it be subject courses, sports, or after-school activities. We’re one of few schools in Shanghai that offer both the Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma programs. That means high schoolers can do either the AP Capstone Diploma or the IB Diploma Program. If they don’t wish to do either diploma program, they can do a combination of AP and IB courses.
