Professional Learning

Shanghai American School is committed to offering internal and external professional learning opportunities aimed at developing professional knowledge and competencies aligned with the SAS mission and core values and intended to positively impact student learning.

'In-house' PD opportunities extend from daily PD embedded into team meetings and professional learning communities (PLCs), to online learning experiences and onsite activities arranged through the expertise of our faculty. External opportunities include off site workshops, institutes and conferences, and course work for graduate studies through Plymouth State University.

We believe that our teachers, administrators and staff are central to ensuring a high quality of teaching and learning at our school, and to optimizing levels of efficacy and well-being.
