SAS students have the opportunity to participate in a diverse range of athletics, including: competitive, recreational, and club environments.
The high school athletics provides a competitive sports program for students in grades 9 through 12, as well as other after school sports clubs and training activities. Our student athletes participate in two main conferences, the Shanghai International Schools Activities Conference (SISAC) and the Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC), and also participates in a number of local and international tournaments.
Middle school students participate in China International Schools Sports Association (CISSA), while elementary students participate in After School Activities (ASA) sports, the Swim Club, and organized events with other schools, including Soccer Day tournament, and Field and Track Day.
The Annual Shanghai Swim League Championship was held at our Pudong campus this spring. Over 900 swimmers of all ages from 17 international schools in the greater Shanghai area attended this great event. When the cheering stopped and the waters calmed, the Shanghai American School Puxi Aqua Eagles stood in 1st place on the podium and SAS Pudong Eagles took 2nd place. Great job Eagles!
