Annual School Fees for 2009-2010
The annual tuition fee is billed in the respective currencies below on a semester basis. School fees are due twice a year: half
are payable on or before June 1; half are payable on or before December 1.

Note – Tuition A, when paid in RMB, is calculated with a fluctuating exchange rate (currently the rate is 6.85) and a 5%
processing fee. For all tuition paid in USD, a surcharge of $15 bank processing fee per semester will be applied.
Deposit Fee (non-refundable) USD $5,000
For each semester, a non-refundable deposit of US $5,000, which is applied to tuition, is due 10 days upon receipt of the
invoice for each new student. The balance is due as follows: - 1st semester tuition fee is due by June 1, 2009.
- 2nd semester tuition fee is due by December 1, 2009.
For new students entering SAS: when 15 days of a new semester have elapsed, a prorated amount of the full semester's fees,
plus a late registration administrative fee of USD $100, will be charged.
Application Fee RMB ¥2,500
The application fee is non-refundable and only valid for the applying school year. This fee is payable when the student’s
application is submitted and prior to the evaluation by the admission committee.
Matriculation Fee USD $2,200
The matriculation fee is a one-time mandatory fee that is dedicated to building project loans, construction, repairs and
maintenance cost for school facilities.
ESOL Fee (English for Speakers of Other Languages) RMB ¥10,000
A one-time non-refundable ESOL fee will be charged to every new student who, upon assessment, is enrolled into the ESOL
program. The fee is dedicated to support a portion of the costs specific to this program.
Technology Fee RMB ¥11,500
The technology fee is dedicated to all students enrolled in Grades 7 through 10 for the implementation of the One-to-One
Laptop Program to enhance their learning. Each student will receive a MacBook with 2GB RAM complete with software
licensed to SAS, AppleCare, onsite services, and warranty.
Transportation Fee (optional for bus service) RMB ¥9,920
The transportation fee applies only to those students who register with our regular bus service. This fee is billed each semester
at a cost of RMB 4,960 per student.
