Important application information
  • Students that meet our admission academic criteria will be pre-accepted. However, all mandatory admission forms and fees must be submitted to the Office of Admission prior to the student's start date.

  • Students who have not completed a full year of a given grade by the fall entrance date will be required to re-enroll in the same grade level.

  • For applicants who do not have standardized test scores, the SAS Admission Committee will review the application once all other required documents have been submitted. When necessary, further academic and diagnostic testing may be required. Not all students will be asked to sit for our admission assessment, only those deemed necessary by our Admission Committee.

  • The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) test is also required based on seat availability after review of the results of the standardized tests recognized by SAS for all non-native English-speaking applicants from Grades  1 to 5. On the basis of the test scores received, the students will either be: 1) accepted into the regular program; 2) accepted into the ESOL program; or 3) advised to seek admission in an alternative school.

  • A visitation review for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants must be scheduled in spring or fall each school year and an individual screening after the start of the school year. Students that meet our admission criteria will be pre-accepted prior to the visitation with final acceptance dependent upon successful completion of the visitation process.

The days for visitation are May 29, 2008 and August 21, 2008. Detailed information will be sent to parents from the Office of Admission with a pre-acceptance letter.

  • Admission decisions are made after we receive satisfactory results of standardized tests recognized by the school, school records indicating satisfactory academic performance and behavior and other supporting documentation. The School has the prerogative to make early decisions about admission if we receive satisfactory results of tests by a recognized testing agency. The final admission decision will be conveyed to the parents, by the Office of Admission, as soon as possible.
